What Is A Meal Planner?

A good meal planner lets you plan your meals ahead of time and create a nutrition budget that saves time, organises food consumption and provides better distribution of nutrients.

Without the need for paperwork, PDFs, or emails, Foodzilla makes it simple to create meal plans using our recipe database or your own recipes and send them to your clients through our mobile app.

If you'd like, you can email your clients a PDF of your meal plan. Over 100,000 recipes in our recipe database already have their nutrition data calculated. The recipes are tagged with nutrition information and are suitable for a variety of diets, including keto, vegan, vegetarian, and FODMAP-free diets.

Additionally, you can choose from pre-made meal plan templates or have an automatic meal plan that meets your client's nutritional needs generated in a matter of seconds.

Templates for Meal Planning

Templates are reusable meal plans for a group of clients or specific diets (such as clients suffering from IBS, vegetarian diets and so on). Foodzilla's templates have been created by a dietitian to ensure the recipes match the diet nutrition requirements so you can save time and use them with your clients.

We already provide a template database for you so you can get started easily, and we always look into adding more ready-to-use templates.

Automatic Meal Planner

With Foodzilla, you can auto-generate a meal plan based on your client's diet and nutrition needs, and you can import a meal plan from our existing templates database. You can also create a new empty meal plan and build it yourself using our existing recipes database or your own custom recipes.

Auto-generating a plan takes a few seconds and supports up to 6 meals per day. You can specify the calorie intake, macros distribution, diets, and any foods to avoid.

Meal Planner Software

Foodzilla's Meal planner consists of the following items: Calendar, Notes, and Foods/Recipes.

A meal plan is flexible and associated with a calendar date range (i.e: it is not fixed to just one week). You can also repeat a plan over a period of time. For example, you can convert a weekly plan into a monthly plan easily with a few clicks.

Notes let you record information related to this plan and provide instructions for your client to make it easier to follow the plan.

You can add single foods in the food section such as apple, banana etc... and adjust their quantity and measurements.

You can add your own recipes or choose from our recipe database. You can also edit each recipe's details (including ingredient measurements, cooking steps, etc...) in the meal plan to customise to the client needs without affecting the original recipe.

Copying Recipes & Leftovers

Every recipe comes with ingredient details, cooking time, calories and nutrition information as well as directions. There is also a handy section about health cautions (for example, contains Sulfites).

With Foodzilla, you can easily copy/repeat recipes in a meal plan to save time and make it easier for your clients to prepare and follow your plan.

You can copy/repeat a recipe by selecting the days you want to repeat the recipe for as well as the meal type to repeat it for. For example, you can choose a breakfast recipe and repeat it from Monday to Friday as breakfast and as a post-lunch snack.
